Cardi B’s body has come under major public scrutiny within the last couple of months. After dodging fans’ inquiries, Cardi B confirmed that she got plastic surgery work done.
The Bronx rapper admitted that she got liposuction during her set at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis on Sunday (May 5). She said that due to her recent surgery, her doctor suggested that she not perform on stage for a while. “I have some news for y’all. I should have canceled today,” she said. “I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna f**k up my lipo. But b***h I’m still gonna get my motherf**king money back, let’s go!”
As the crowd erupted into collective applause, Cardi detailed some perceived flaws that she still wants to fix. “I still feel like I got a lot of love handles right here,” she continued. “It’s not much but it’s like — I’m used to having, like, a real tight stomach … I might just get a little lipo, you know what I’m sayin’?”
Cardi B will be showing off more of her new body at the annual Met Gala on Monday night (May 6) in New York City.
