As promised, Cardi B has released the visuals for her latest single “Ring,” featuring Kehlani on Monday (Aug. 20).
The sultry 3-minute video features Cardi and Kehlani rocking matching blond wigs as they sing about doubts they have within their individual relationships. “You don’t hit my line no more, oh, oh / You don’t make it ring, ring, ring, ring / I can’t keep this on the low / I want you to make it ring, ring, ring, ring,” Kehlani sings on the chorus, as Cardi stands in a floating telephone booth.
The Bronx rapper announced earlier this summer that “Ring” would the next single to have a video release. It follows behind visuals for “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny and J. Balvin, and “Drip.”
“Ring” is coming off of Cardi’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which was released in Apr. 2018. She has previously stated that the track was her favorite song from the album.
Aside from the new video, Cardi is gearing up for some big surprises in the next couple of weeks. MTV announced that she will open for the 2018 Video Music Awards, although various reports claim she will not be performing. Additionally, the rapper is rumored to be releasing new music at a Fashion Nova launch event, according to TMZ.
