CeeLo Green looks like the latest victim of Samsung’s exploding cell phones. A video surfaced Saturday (Dec. 17), of Green’s phone (allegedly) blowing up in his face while in a recording studio.
In the footage, Green can be seen talking on the phone before it explodes, knocking him out of a chair.

The Atlanta native hasn’t yet commented on the video, and it’s unclear if he sustained serious injuries.
Twitter on the other hand, had mixed reactions to the incident.

UPDATE: 12/19/2016 9:45 A.M.
Through a Facebook Live video on Saturday (Dec. 17), Cee-Lo confirmed the explosion was fabricated for a larger project he’s creating for his new persona, Gnarly Davidson. “I just want to let everybody know that I am alive, that I’m well, and I’m OK,” he said. “Truthfully, I’m really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today. What you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project I’m doing called Gnarly Davidson. It’s supposed to set up […] and introduce the new character identity. […] I want to thank everybody for their love and support and concern.”
The project will have a similar sound to Gnarls Barkley, the group he once took part in with producer Danger Mouse. Their massive hit “Crazy” was all over the radio and channels like MTV Hits (rest well). Between 2006 and 2008, the duo released the albums St. Elsewhere and The Odd Couple.
