Chance took the BBC stage with back up from the Social Experiment, whom he’s previously collaborated with on the Surf album. The rapper started off strong, showcasing his singing vocals. But during part of his version, he sort of messed up the lyrics, ad-libbing, “I’m messing up all of Drake’s words — on purpose.”
The Coloring Book artist may have fumbled just a tiny bit while doing the cover, but he made up for it during his performance of his own single “All We Got.” Towards the end of of his live performance, Chano sent some love to Kanye West, whom he originally recorded the song with. Kanye is reportedly being hospitalized for exhaustion and under psychiatric evaluation.
“I want to extend a very special prayer to my big brother, Kanye West. I know there’s a lot of weird folks out there, but you already know that I’m a hundred grand,” he said. “I want to just extend this love from all the way in Britain. We might have to come back early to see this man. Happy Thanksgiving.”
