Chance The Rapper will be blessing fans with a full-length album this summer. The Grammy-winning Chicagoan announced the news on his social media pages Monday (Feb. 11), and his manager Pat Corcoran confirmed it.
“Owbum,” the Coloring Book MC wrote, and continued by writing “July.” On his Instagram page, Chance detailed how good his life has been in the past few years, and confirmed his good news verbally.
“Man, as I sit here on a shopping spree with my girl…after hours playing the [Nintendo] Switch, today’s the fourth-year anniversary of my Open Mic [Chicago],” he said through smiles while shopping at Barneys. “I’m about to get married…so many things going on, and I’ve been making music…n***a life is good, and you gonna get [an album] when I’m ready! July though.”
This is Chano’s first full-length project since 2016’s Coloring Book. In 2016 and 2017, he released two holiday projects with Jeremih, and he’s released several songs on his own in the past few years as well, including “Work Out” and “The Man Who Has Everything.”
