Hats off to Chancelor Bennett, who might just be having the best year ever. Just a short while ago, Chance The Rapper—who’s currently touring the nation on his Family Matters Tour—debuted his brand new song “Angels” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
To continue the string of late night talk show appearances, the new father was just announced as Saturday Night Live’s next crop of musical guests, alongside Leon Bridges and Bruce Springsteen.

To make the moment more special, Chance will be making history as the show’s first major indie act.
And I Will be the first independent (& far from last) musical guest on #SNL next month! Very special performance planned! #thirdmixtape — Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) November 17, 2015
Things get even sweeter for Chano. The 23-year-old is the new cover star for Chicago Magazine, rocking the shiny new title of Chicagoan of the Year.

He spiffed up quite nicely for the moment, which was fittingly photographed at the White Sox stadium. Congrats all around, Chance!
