Chance the Rapper is blasting a hometown hot spot he will no longer frequent because it’s “inaccessible” to black people. The Chicago native was turned away from the door of WhirlyBall, a Windy City sports bar, and arcade, he says is guilty of racism.
“Crazy how I was just treated at @whirlyball Been coming here for awhile, this new management doesn’t know how to treat customers,” he tweeted Friday (July 1).
“Don’t go to @WhirlyBall it’s very inaccessible if you’re black or friends with black people,” Chance wrote in another tweet. “They’ve clearly outlined in their dress code.”
According to the posts, Chance tried to speak with a manager, but was stopped by security.
The dress code listed on the company website doesn’t allow guests to rock “undershirts, sweatpants, joggers or sleepwear.”
Additionally, men can’t wear sleeveless shirts, and no “hats, clothing jewelry or tattoos with profanity or explicit art” as well as “over-sized chains” are permitted.

Don’t bother trying to speak with the MGMT @WhirlyBall the new armed security will make sure you can’t, per managements request.
