Mayor Keef, or nah?
Days after his hologram benefit concert was cancelled in Chicago, and subseqently shut down in Indiana, Chief Keef presented his Twitter followers with a special announcement: he’s running for mayor of his Chi-town hometown. In his first “campaign” move, the rapper assure his potential “voters” that the move would “be the best things done yet.”
I’m running for mayor of Chicago….. Vote for me!!!! It’ll be the best thing done yet!!!!! Yall gonna love me in the Office…..

Keef claimed that he has been banned from doing his performance in Chicago because of the city’s current mayor, Rahm Emanuel. He urged his followers to make complaints:

Hammond, Indiana mayor Thomas McDermott commented on the shutting down of Chief Keef’s concert to The New York Times. “He’s been basically outlawed in Chicago, and we’re not going to let you circumvent Mayor Emanuel by going next door,” he said.
