Donald Glover — better known by the music world as Childish Gambino — is having a low moment. In the midst of some stellar music releases (do yourself a favor and listen to “Bed Peace”), the Community actor-turned-rapper is dealing with some turbulence behind the scenes. Armed with a pen and a notepad from the Residence Inn Marriott, Gambino took to Instagram to unleash a handwritten trail of letters saying how fearful he is of failure and how his label doesn’t believe in him.
“I feel like I’m letting everyone down. I’m afraid people hate who I really am,” he wrote in one note. “The label doesn’t want me to release in December cause it’s not a holiday record and I’m not a big artist,” he said in another. Take a look at all his thoughts below, and hopefully things look up for Mr. Glover soon.
