Childish Gambino has provided an update on an injury that halted his “This Is America” tour earlier this fall.
Gambino shared Saturday (Oct. 27) that he isn’t quite ready to make his return to the stage. “Not ready to put on 100 percent shows,” he posted on his Instagram story. “Apologies to the fans. I will be back soon.” The artist postponed the remaining dates of his “This Is America Tour” after “aggravating a preexisting injury” during his tour stop in Dallas.
Fam Rothstein, co-principal of the creative collective, Wolf + Rothstein previously confirmed that Gambino will pick up the tour before the end of the year. “This is America tour is postponed, not canceled,” Rothstein tweeted in September. “My guy played through the pain, but has to sit some dates out. Back before the years over.’
