On Wednesday morning (July 22), Chris Brown awoke with every intention to depart from his brief stay in the Philippines, but the country’s Department of Justice had other plans.
After scheduled concert on Tuesday night (July 21), Breezy was barred from leaving the country, CNN reports. Stemming a from a contract dispute that dates back to last New Year’s Eve, the singer’s private jet was not permitted for takeoff at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Brown was reportedly slated to perform at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, and failed to show. The singer, along with his promoter John Michael Pio Roda were subjected to an immigration lookout bulletin.

Brown allegedly took to Twitter to deny the barring, urging his followers not to believe everything they read:
