Chris Brown experienced a bit of turbulence on his way to the Cannes Film Festival May 16 – and we don’t mean in the air.
The Royalty singer allegedly never took off because police were summoned to the Signature Aviation gate at Miami International Airport, after an aircraft pilot reportedly caught the singer and his crew, “hotboxing.”
It seems Chris is not one for abiding by the rules. The pilot allegedly warned the “Back to Sleep” singer not to spark one on the private jet, but Brown and his friends didn’t listen, according to a police report obtained by TMZ. After the flight staff smelled marijuana, the police were immediately alerted. Fortunately for CB and his team, no arrests were made, but they were kicked off of the aircraft. So much for getting to the festival on time
Chris howeve didn’t seem to too distraught. The singer actually refuted the reports with a video of him headed to Cannes. “How the hell we in Cannes if we got escorted off a plane?” he asked. “One, marijuana smoke on a plane? I think we learned our lesson. I don’t think we really need drugs on the plane.”
Instead, he flipped the script on the pilot, suggesting he was the one who wanted drugs. “DONT WORRY , BE HAPPY. I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT ME AND MY FELLOW COLLEAGUES LOOK RATHER INTIMIDATING WITH THE “GOLD CHAINS” ” WATCHES””TATTOOS. THIS PILOT WORKED ALL HIS LIFE ONLY TO HAVE TO TAKE direction or requests FROM A PERSON at least 20 yrs older than me. I👀👀👀👀😎😳😩😩😂😂😂,” he captioned an Instagram video.
This report comes days after police were summoned to the singer’s residence for illegally driving an ATV through his suburban neighborhood. The city attorney hasn’t decided whether they will charge him with disturbing the peace.
