Seems like Chris Brown will be making a trip back to the courthouse pretty soon.
Mike Guirguis, Brown’s manager since 2012, is suing the singer over an alleged assault. According to reports, Mike believes Brown’s “drug-fueled” anger got the best of him last month. It’s said Brown lashed out towards his manager, confining him in a room and continuously punching him in the neck and face. Mike wound up in the hospital due to the constant, brutal attack from the artist. He decided to take the issue to court after he realized the two couldn’t work things out amongst one another.
He claims Brown used his bragging rights to boast about their altercation via social media and with his entourage. One of Mike’s biggest concerns is Brown’s “gang member friends” coming after him next. His attorney, Patty Glaser, told TMZ, “We did everything we could to resolve this in a non-public way to avoid damage to Chris Brown. Regrettably, as outlined in our complaint, Chris Brown has proven to be his own worst enemy.”
Mike G became a part of Chris’ team following the singer’s physical assault suit with Rihanna in 2009, which took a toll on his career. Mike was responsible for taking on the role of revamping his image and facilitating him with his debt and drug issues. “Just as Brown’s career finally was on a steady upward trajectory, Brown viciously attacked Mike G — the man who stood by his side without judgment,” the lawsuit allegedly states. Accusations within the complaint also state charges for battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional stress.
Being abreast of the pending lawsuit, Brown took his reaction to Instagram, with a video post letting the world know his management position is currently vacant. He states Mike G was fired for stealing money from him, and this suit is Mike’s way of remaining relevant.
