Chris Brown has taken to social media to clear his name of a breaking news report. Following the “Undecided” singer’s arrest for an alleged rape in Paris, France, according to the Associated Press (Jan. 22), Brown said the entire incident is false and stated how this news affects his family.
“I wanna make it perfectly clear……. This is false and a whole lot of cap!” Brown wrote on Instagram. “For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!!!!!”
Brown and two other people, which includes the 29-year-old’s bodyguard, were detained for “aggravated rape and drug-related infractions.” The reported incident occurred between Jan. 15-16 when a woman said she met the artist and his friends at a nightclub. The unidentified 24-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where the group went to after the outing. A police report was filed two days later.
According to TMZ, Brown and the two that were arrested were released. In backing Brown’s case, a woman named Kim Ford who said she was in the vicinity at the time claimed Brown and his bodyguard did not sexually assault the unidentified woman. She also reiterated that she’s not the woman who this instance happened to. “I don’t know where people are getting these wild stories from but I was not hit or raped by Chris Brown so stop posting & tagging me in fake stories & sending me these crazy DMs,” Ford said.
