Chris Brown finally comes cleans about the nature of his relationship status with both singer Rihanna and stylist Karrueche Tran. After weeks of speculation, the Virginia native singer-dancer revealed that he and Tran have split and that the root of their break-up stems from his relationship with Rihanna. “I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Brown tells HollywoodLife.com. “I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
Both Brown and Rihanna drove the Internets into a frenzy after word broke that the two were spotted together the past three nights in New York City. On Monday, Oct. 1, they were caught “hugging and kissing” at nightclub Griffin. Then on Oct. 2, the pair reportedly met up again at 1Oak. And on Oct. 3, Brown and Rihanna left the Gansevoort Hotel (minutes apart) and were spotted at Jay-Z concert at the Barclays Center — where Brown put his arm around his ex and cozied up to her throughout the night.
Allegedly, Tran feels betrayed by Brown and insists that he and Rihanna are not “just friends.” Sad to say, but it looks like the would-be stylist was the last to get the memo that we all already read months ago.
