After a brief four-year hiatus (her last project Jackie was released in 2015), Ciara is now back with a new single, “Greatest Love” just in time for Valentine’s Day. In the song, Ciara croons about the greatest love she has ever experienced, which could be an ode to her doting husband, Russell Wilson.
“From the first day I met you it was special/There was something different ’bout you/Had to pray ‘fore, ‘fore I jumped into it head first/Ain’t an expert but I know I never, ever felt like this,” she croons.
The music video for the song features the “I Bet” singer dancing and singing alone throughout the entirety of the video. The long-legged singer dances in front of red and white backdrops with multiple outfit changes. The release of this single comes just a day after the R&B singer praised her husband for all his support.
“I’m a strong woman but I need a strong man by my side,” Ciara said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle during the 2019 Makers Conference, in which she announced her newest company, Beauty Marks Entertainment. “I know I can do anything that I put my mind to. But I think at some point in time it’s good to let somebody also do some stuff for you, too.”
