Ciara is taking her latest single, “Level Up” to new heights. The singer recently dropped its remix on Friday (July 27) featuring longtime collaborators Missy Elliott and Fatman Scoop.
On the new rendition, Fatman Scoop offers ad-libs in the background as Ciara sings about coming back better than ever. On the second verse, Missy Elliott comes in with fiery bars over the Jersey club-sampled beat. “Have a new flow, got a new glow / Level up, I’m beautiful / On my ass, bounce like a yo-yo / Eyy, I feel good and fly today / Eyy, and i ain’t worried about shit, no way / I level up, get money and devil up (that’s right),” she raps.
As previously reported, Ciara dropped the original single accompanied by a music video on July 18. The Parris Goebel-directed visual features Cici flexing her electric dance moves along with the ReQuest Dance Crew.
As you may remember, this isn’t Ciara, Missy, and Fatman Scoop’s first time working together. It’s been nearly 13 years since the artists last worked together. The trio previously collaborated on her 2005 single, “Lose Control.” Missy and Ciara have also worked on 2005’s “1,2 Step” and 2009’s “Work.”
