Fresh off the heels of their success on Drake’s hit single “In My Feelings,” female rap duo, City Girls have released a new documentary on Thursday (Aug. 30), entitled Point Blank Period. The 23-minute doc chronicles the girls’ trials and tribulations on their way to the top.
The new short follows City Girls, aka JT and Yung Miami, back to where it all stated – in Miami, Florida. It shows them as they adjust to instant fame. The girls – whom are signed to record labels Quality Control Music and Mass Appeal – also shared their reactions to working with Drake, rapping in a male-dominated industry, as well as how they will cope with JT’s incarceration. JT reportedly began her 2-year prison sentence for fraud charges in July 2018.
“We’re excited for our fans to get a look inside of our lives, to get a chance to see the real us, our families, our trials and tribulations,” said of the documentary in statement to Billboard. “We express ourselves in our music as real as we know how.”
