Hardcore Wu-Tang fans who made it Coachella 2015 were treated to an extra special set on Friday afternoon (Apr 10). Raekwon and Ghostface Killah took to the outdoor stage and ran through the majority of The Chef’s classic debut album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. The Staten Island O.G.s went rhyme for rhyme on tracks including the “Verbal Intercourse,” “Knowledge God,” “Criminology,” “Incarcerated Scarfaces,” “Rainy Dayz,” and more. OB4CL‘s 20th anniversary officially arrives on August 1st of this year.
Rae took fans all the way back to 1995 — wardrobe and all — as he debuted a custom made Linx Beach jacket to honor the now immortalized Ralph Lauren Snow Beach jacket worn in the “Can It Be All So Simple” music video. In the exhausting heat, Shallah did his 1,2 thing draped in the heavy material.
The fellas ended their set with an exhilarating tribute to the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard with a grand sing-along of “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.”
