On Sept. 30, Solange released her third solo album A Seat At The Table, and almost a month later (which is literally like forever on the Internet) people are still basking in the record’s melodies, harmonies and lyrical content.
Common, like many who have heard the album, was blown away by the subject matter and kindly added a related verse to the already thoughtful song about doing everything to deal with an issue except confront the issue itself.
“She seen pain in my eye, men and women at work, Cranes in the sky, we gon keep building, For our children’s children,” Common raps. While this isn’t the official remix, we can only hope Solo digs it as much as we do.
