Rapper Common has come forth to speak on the tragic death of his cousin who died in a motorcycle accident last week.
Ajile Turner was riding his motorcycle in the intersection of Greene and Washington Avenue in Brooklyn Friday night when he collided with another bicyclist. Both men were killed. Turner was the founder and CEO of the New York concert production company, Echelon Group.
“Man, I want to thank each and every person who sent their love and condolences about my cousin, Ajile Turner,” Common said in a statement released on Wednesday.
“It has definitely been a tough time for me and my family, but as GOD always does he assures us that everything will be alright. I believe that you all’s support is just another way of assuring it. I thank you once again. God Bless.” —Linda Hobbs
