This year’s Annual Grammy Awards are shaping up nicely with the first official performances announced today including an exclusive performance from the mysterious electronic duo and former VIBE cover stars Daft Punk.
This will be the Robots’ first television performance since they shut the stage down back in 2008 at the 50th Grammy Awards Ceremony. The helmet-wearing duo are nominated for four awards this year including Album Of The Year and Best Dance/Electronica Album for Random Access Memories and Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Get Lucky’ featuring Pharrell Williams.
Meanwhile, K.Dot bagged himself seven nominations this year for Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Best Rap Album for Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Best R&B Performance for “How Many Drinks” featuring Miguel, Best Rap Performance for “Swimming Pools (Drank),” Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Now Or Never” featuring Mary J Blige and Best Rap Song for “Fuckin’ Problems” featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky produced by Noah “40” Shebib. He will be joined by rock group Imagine Dragons who are nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance for their hit song “Radioactive.”
Other performers include P!nk, Nate Ruess (of FUN), Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton with two-time Grammy Winner LL Cool J returning as the master of ceremony.
