D’Angelo kicked off his “Second Coming” tour at The Apollo Theater on Saturday night (Feb. 7). On the historical stage he graced in 1991 and won Amateur Night, the soul crooner offered a three-hour return. While he performed never-before-seen live renditions of cuts from his Black Messiah album, it was his closing – a 14-minute version of “Untitled” – that shone as a highlight of the night.
