Daniel Caesar made quite the name for himself with his 2017 LP Freudian. The Toronto singer-scribe tapped into the emotions of a generation tied to their phone and proved that R&B isn’t dead, but instead doing just fine.
Late Monday night (Oct. 15) Brother Caesar took to Craigslist in hopes to find a voluptuous beauty who works at Atlanta’s famed gentlemen’s club, Follies. The 23-year-old was so transfixed with the blonde-wig wearing dancer that after spending the entire night with him, he gave her $3,400. She, in turn, gave him her number only for him to lose his phone. (Sucks bro!)
“You danced on me all night. I threw about $3400. You said you liked my gap. You gave me your number but I lost my phone. I hope I find you,” the listing read.
Caesar couldn’t get the woman out his mind, so much so he penned a song titled “Who Hurt You?” The somber track is ripe with Caesar’s carnal desire for the dancer. Prior to the release of the new song, news that Caesar cut off his locs to now don a tapered more traditional cut, colloquially known as Caesar, left many shookith in the Internet streets.
