TDE’s Derek Ali, better known as “MixedbyAli” has put the final touches on most of Top Dawg’s projects, and is now lending his expertise to Mr. Brown, who’s LP is untitled as of now and with no release date.
Danny Brown garnered critical attention with his 2011 EP Black and Brown and 2012’s The OD. Building off the momentum, Brown released Old in October 2013 under Fool’s Gold Records and distributed by Alternative Distribution Alliance. The LP became a major look for Brown, who’s project featured guest appearances from Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Freddie Gibbs and A$AP Rocky, and landed in the top 20 on the US Billboard 200.
Stanny Crown season is approaching. Best get ready, now.
