Friends and fans of Demi Lovato continue to shower the artist with their support as she is still being hospitalized due to an apparent overdose earlier this week. While many are posting tributes on social media, Kelly Rowland made the ultimate leap by getting a matching tattoo of Demi’s ink.
The Destiny’s Child singer revealed on Instagram on Thursday (July 26) that she got a temporary tattoo of Demi’s lion ink in the exact same place as her, on the hand. The “Sorry Not Sorry” artist first got the permanent tat in Apr. 2017. Rowland reportedly got the work done during a visit to the “Power Parlor” at Refinery29’s 29 Rooms exhibit in Chicago.
“Got you on my mind,” she captioned the photo. She also shared a picture of the tattoo sketch. “@ddlovato I [heart] you,” she added. Rowland and Lovato were previously co-judges on The X-Factor in 2013.
Interestingly enough, The “Power Parlor” was created in collaboration with Lovato prior to her recent hospitalization. “We all have our own form of battle scars, a reminder of what we’ve overcome,” the event’s website reads. “Inspired by Demi’s own tattoos that celebrate her resilience, step into this temporary tattoo and turn your personal journey into art. Adorn yourself with a message of courage and self-confidence, and let your ink empower you to move forward in the face of any challenge.”
As previously reported, Demi Lovato is awake and stable following a methamphetamine overdose. Rowland isn’t the only star to show support. Since news of Demi’s struggles broke, stars like Missy Elliott, Ariana Grande, Jada Pinkett Smith, and more have offered their prayers and well wishes.
