Sean P. Diddy Combs has made the Internet raise its digital eyebrows with a few of his Instagram posts. In recent days, the 48-year-old music mogul has honored a number of his celebrity friends with the simple hashtag Black100. Mr. Combs didn’t explain the reason behind the public admiration, which left many wondering what trick does the Bad Boy CEO have up his sleeve?
On Monday (Sept. 24) it was revealed Diddy launched what he calls the Black 100; a list of 100 of the most influential men and women in black culture. Everyone from Beyonce, JAY Z, Issa Rae, and Colin Kaepernick to Nas, Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, Misty Copeland, and Academy-Award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o and more made Diddy’s prestigious list.
Combs isn’t revealing quite yet what’s inside the black boxes he plans to gift those he refers to as #CultureCreators. However, the contents should be made public in the coming days. When Diddy’s not teasing the Internet with his newest venture he’s a host on the latest singing competition The Four, in which he offers his musical expertise in only a fashion Mr. Combs can.
Good looks, Puff. There are plenty of black men and women who are more than deserving of praise.
