Diddy is reportedly “devastated and shocked” over the death of his longtime partner and the mother of three of his children, Kim Porter.
According to a source from People Magazine, “[Diddy] and Kim were still very close friends and co-parents even though their romantic relationship didn’t work.” The source also adds that the former couple, who called it quits officially in 2007, were “still a family.” As social media shows, Diddy and Kim remained very close. In his condolences, 50 Cent said that the two were soulmates.
Diddy (real name Sean Combs) and Porter had three children together- a son Christian, 20, and 12-year-old twin girls, Jessica and D’Lila. Porter also leaves behind 27-year-old Quincy, her son with Al. B Sure.
The model and actress was found unresponsive in her home on Thursday (Nov. 15); she was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is currently undetermined, however, in TMZ’s initial report about the 47-year-old’s death, she had recently been suffering from flu-like symptoms.
“A source connected to Kim tells us she’d been suffering flu-like symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks…” the site reads. “Another source says Kim contacted her doctor just yesterday complaining she wasn’t feeling any better.”
In an update from the site, authorities are also looking into Porter’s recent trip to Africa to determine if she contracted anything during her visit.
