In response to the dire conditions caused by the water crisis in Flint, Mich., Big Sean launched the #HEALFLINTKIDS viral fundraiser. To ensure it got off to a strong start the Detroit native put up $10,000 of his own money which benefits the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan’s Flint Child Health & Development Fund.
Sean’s donation started a snowball effect and on Tuesday (January 26) it was announced DJ Mustard partnered matched the Detroit natives $10,000 with 10K of his own. The “IDFWU” producer said the reason for his charitable donation came simply because he’s a father.
“As a father of two kids, the tragedy in Flint, Michigan hit home for me,” DJ Mustard said. “Shout out to Big Sean for starting this viral campaign. I hope my donation can encourage others to step up for an important cause.”
Such a good look, DJ Mustard.
