On this day 20 years ago, legendary Compton MC Eazy-E passed away due to complications from AIDS. In his memory, the good folks at HipHopDX caught up some of Eazy’s close friends and associates who reminisce on the fallen hip-hop icon.
During the interviews, rapper/producer DJ Quik, DJ Speed, David Faustino, of the Married With Children sitcom, producer and Bone-Thugs & Harmony manager, Stevel Lobel and Bone-Thugs & Harmony member Krayzie Bone remembered Eazy’s feel-good spirit, his love old school whips, and his gift for spotting for exceptional talent.
Eazy-E, who is considered by many as the “Godfather of Gangsta Rap,” was the co-founder of rap group, N.W.A and co-founder of Ruthless Records along with Jerry Heller.
