After the American Music Awards finale Tuesday night (Oct. 9), DJ Snake treated fans with the music video for his new anthem, “Taki Taki,” featuring Ozuna, Cardi B, and Selena Gomez.
The 4-minute video appears to be set in a post-apocalyptic world, where the terrain looks like its been hit by an active volcano. Dancing in between the lines formed by lava, is DJ Snake Ozuna, Cardi B, and Selena Gomez, dressed in red.
In a previous interview with Billboard in Sept. 2018, Cardi B predicted the new collaboration would be a global hit. “I only heard it with Ozuna, then I find out Selena Gomez is gonna be on it, I’m like, ‘Oh shit, I know it’s gonna be a hit,’” she told Billboard. “It’s gonna be a really good hit,” she adds, “International hit. It’s very international.”
“Taki Taki” is definitely making money moves. Since the track debuted last month, it has garnered more than 42 million streams on Spotify, as well as 35 million views on its YouTube audio clip. The video also has more than 4 million viewed in its first-day release.
