It is no secret that Dr. Dre is a stellar judge of talent (see: Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar). Now, D-R-E is co-signing yet another rapper, 23-year-old Justin Mohrle. After grabbing the attention of the West Coast legend through fellow Dallas native The D.O.C., Mohrle was called to California to record this summer. He hasn’t looked back since. In a profile for D Magazine, Mohrle – who will record under the moniker Justin Night – keeps under wraps what he has been cooking up with “The Good Doctor,” but scanning his Instagram page will reveal that Dre’s newest protege has been working with the likes of BJ The Chicago Kid and Gwen Stefani. Currently on “marathon 13-hour writing and recording sessions” with Dre at Record One, his Sherman Oaks studio, Mohrle (formerly known as Love JT) is fine tuning some sort of release.
