These days, when Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s names are spoken in the same sentence, it’s usually to pit them against each other in a debate (just ask President Obama). But it seems the unspoken–and virtually unconfirmed–rivalry between the two reigning MCs might finally be put to rest with a new collaboration. According to a social media investigation, K. Dot and Drizzy may have been in the studio together recently.
News hit the Web that Kendrick Lamar was back in the studio following the surprise release of his latest project untitled unmastered. This week, the Compton rapper appeared in a video making its rounds on Twitter, in which he is in the studio and counting a stack of two dollars bills:

Turns out, Drake, who is still hard at work on finishing up his forthcoming Views From The 6 album, was also in the studio this week. Doing what, you ask? Also flashing a stack of two dollar bills:

According to Complex, the two dollars bills may simply be the doing of celebrity lawyer Steven Reisman, whose signature is handing out two dollars bills. More wishful thinking suggests that Kendrick and Drake might actually do the unthinkable and release their first collaboration in years. And if so, there’s no telling whose project the track (or tracks) will end up on.
Now all we need is J. Cole flashing some two dollars bills to make the cypher complete.
