Drake’s been winning these past few days. His new album, Views, sold 600,000 copies on iTunes in a single day, and is poised to be the top album in the country by the end of the week. Even better- he just slid past Adele for having the song with the highest amount of streams in the UK in a single week.
According to NME, “One Dance,” his Views track which features Wizkid and Kyla, was streamed 7.86 million times in a week, which edged out Adele’s “Hello” for the record, which was streamed 7.32 million times in the first week of its October 2015 release.
Even more exciting news for fans of the former actor: more new music could be on the way this year! During a surprise concert in Toronto, Drizzy let fans know first hand there’s more heat in store.
“And I’ma tell you like this…just because Views came out, it doesn’t mean there’s not new music on the way,” he said to a wave of cheers. “So I’ll see you soon. You know what it is.”
It seems like 2016 is going to be more than lit for Mr. Graham.
