Just when you thought the Chris Brown vs. Drake beef had subsided, tensions have reared their ugly head yet again. As Breezy remains (slightly) vocal about not being fond of Drizzy, it seems the rapper may have delivered a retort of his own last night (Feb. 22). While on stage in Auckland, NZ, Drake gave a live rendition of his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late cut, “Energy” for the first time. Switching the song’s lyrics, he spit “I got R&B niggas that I gotta act like I like,” instead of the original wording, “rap niggas,” according to his fan site Word On Road. And the masses have taken the creative license as a swipe in Brown’s direction.
Drake performs “HYFR” into “Energy”…”I got r&b niggas that I gotta act like I like.” then “Started From The Bottom”. #Auckland

Although openly maintaining that the two are not friends, Brown has made efforts not to speak on Drake at length. “At the end of the day, I look at it like this: I can’t keep making these motherfuckers famous,” he said. “I’m responsible for a lot of reviving of careers, and I think when I keep talking about somebody – even right now, I just making him hot right now ‘cause I’m just talking about him.” Well, alright then. Let’s just hope things don’t get back to 2012 status.
