In response to a tweet that claims Chris Brown’s new single “No Guidance” featuring Drake is No. 1 on the Apple Music charts, Breezy shared the reported news on his social media accounts, prompting a response from Drizzy, Complex reports.
The artists’ new song dropped on Friday (June 7), and is poised to be on Brown’s upcoming ninth studio album, Indigo (June 21).
On Instagram, Brown shared the news to which Drake responded, “Jeeeeeeez … wait till the video drops. Also, are we the first mortal enemy duo to go number one on Apple Music?? #guinessbookofrecords.”
The strain between the duo took a left turn in 2012 in New York City. At nightclub W.i.P., the pair allegedly engaged in a physical match but it’s unclear as to what caused the friction. Reportedly, Brown gifted a bottle of champagne to Champagne Papí himself but the bottle was returned to Brown with a note reportedly saying, “I’m f**king the love of your life.” An all-out brawl between the two artists’ entourages was the result.
According to Variety, Breezy appeared on the Apple Music Top 100 list for being featured on Lil Dicky’s No. 50 hit “Freaky Friday” in 2018.
