Drake is taking his position seriously. Despite reports that he would be a no show, the Toronto Raptors’ Global Ambassador confirmed that he will be in town for Drake night on Jan. 11 at the Air Canade Centre in Toronto. As a bonus, fans in attendance for the hardwood showdown between the home team and the Brooklyn Nets will be gifted with exclusive OVO shirts at the game, which was recently unveiled today.
“Exclusive OVO Raptors shirt for everyone attending! Me and @futuretheprince hosting/Dj’ing at halftime! Birth of the 416 section! #Raptors #416 #Toronto,” Drizzy wrote on Instagram.
The shirt design oozes October’s Very Own with a gold and black scheme, and the dinosaur mascot balling through block-lettered “OVO” and “416” designs.
Drake night is first up in an already busy itinerary for Aubrey Graham, who will also be hosting and performing on NBC’s Saturday Night Live Jan. 18 and then return to NYC for a headlining Revolt TV gig during Super Bowl weekend in February.
