A pop-up event in Houston hosted by Drake was just a teaser of what’s to come from the OVO Boy in 2017. Drizzy is looking to expand his enviable empire by opening a club in Houston entitled “The Ballet” early next year.
According to his Instagram post about the impending hotspot, “Treat yourself don’t cheat yourself. Where the women are on a pedestal and the surroundings are unforgettable.”
“…it’s not about no strip club sh**,” Drake revealed at a pop-up shop yesterday (Sept. 5), where he spoke about the importance of “The Ballet” to the Houston dance scene. The event, which he says is just a taste of what “The Ballet” will have to offer, was held during the musician’s second annual Houston Appreciation Week (HAW), which wrapped yesterday.
“It’s about these amazing women that we’ve got in one spot, this music we’ve got, this Houston culture that we got. And I just wanna let you know that, me, I’m going to bring it to you in the most honest and genuine way possible.”
Drake also made his way over to dvsn’s “Sept 5th Live” event, where they performed “Faithful” together.
