A new chart feat has been achieved by Toronto’s very own, Drake. According to Billboard, the “Energy” rapper has tied with The Notorious B.I.G. for “scoring more than one chart-leading debut,” thanks to his January premiere of “Summer Sixteen.”
Drizzy rubs elbows with Rihanna as well who entered the chart’s history with Eminem’s “The Monster” and her latest single “Work,” which features her “Take Care” collaborator. The Notorious B.I.G. etched his name on the chart in 1995 back to back with “One More Chance,” and “Hypnotize.”
Drake’s replay-worthy track, “Summer Sixteen” was revealed on his Beats 1 show, OVO Sound Radio, where he also announced the release timeframe for his album, Views From The 6. The highly-anticipated project will drop in April, but fans can still remain on the lookout for new tracks along away the way.
