Drake is dancing his way into Spotify history.
The Canadian rapper recently earned 880 million streams for his standout single “One Dance” on the music streaming service, making it the most streamed song in Spotify history.
Drizzy beat out Major Lazer’s “Lean On” with the most streamed song earlier this week. And as if demolishing Spotify’s 10-year record wasn’t enough, Drake also earned the No. 1 artist seat on Spotify with more than 36 million monthly listeners and over eight billion total streams.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that Drake’s club hit earned him a place in Spotify history. It was previously announced that the same track earned him his first No. 1 song in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
In addition to dominating the streaming world, Drake has been performing “One Dance” and the rest of his hits on the road of his “Summer Sixteen” tour with Future. The rapper recently postponed his remaining shows, citing an ankle injury as the reason. But he promised that he will make it up to fans when he’s at his best again.
