For a second, it was starting to look like Drake wasn’t going to drop his highly anticipated album, Views From the 6 at all. It’s been a long time coming since the OVO artist revealed the title for his fourth studio album, and after a lot of skepticism as to whether it would ever happen, it’s looking like Drake gave fans a green light with the unveiling of a short snippet on Vine.
Drizzy made great use of his account, releasing a 15-second snippet of a potential song from his upcoming project. It’s a little hard to make out all of the lyrics or even the single’s title, but the instrumental, which gives a nice mix of Drake’s upbeat and chill vibes, definitely sticks true to his latest aesthetic.
The clip definitely comes as great news to all of his fans, but it’s not like the world would have been incapable of moving forward if his album was prolonged further. Unlike some artists who have taken a three-year or more hiatus, the “6 God” rapper has actually been blessing fans with songs and collabs throughout 2015. After releasing his mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late in February, he also went on to join forces with Future for their joint mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive. Along with a couple of surprise singles, Drizzy also put out the meme-filled single and video, “Hotline Bling.”
So Drake has been a busy man, but let’s be honest, his fans are greedy, and are just ready for Views to drop already. The album has yet to get an official release date, but in the meantime check out the Vine clip below.
