Popcaan and Drake previously worked on an early version of the 2016 single “Controlla.” Popcaan was later taken off the song for what was believed to be clearance issues. The solo version was then featured on Drake’s studio album Views.
The Jamaican-bred dancehall artist joins OVO’s roster which also includes PartyNextDoor, Majid Jordan, DVSN, and Roy Woods.
