Drake’s position atop the CN Tower is fitting for how he must feel at this moment. The Toronto rapper reigns above the music industry after his VIEWS album sold 1.2 million copies, including streams, since its release a week ago.
It was originally reported by Hits Daily Double that the “U With Me?” rapper reached 802,987 in sales, but that number has increased immensely according to his label Republic Records. It was also streamed over 250 million times globally.
Just this weekend during a listening party, the 29-year-old artist shared that this was the biggest success sales-wise in his career thus far, stating that he sold over 600,000 copies the first night of VIEWS‘ debut.
Drake is also set to drop the physical release of VIEWS on Friday (May 6).
