Earlier this year, Fabolous was accused of punching his longtime partner, Emily B. Now, nearly seven months after the reported incident, a grand jury in New Jersey has indicted the rapper on one count of domestic violence with a significant bodily injury, TMZ reports.
Fab was also indicted on two counts of threatening to kill and one count of possession of a weapon (a pair of scissors), according to the report.
As previously reported, New Jersey police responded to a 911 call at the couple’s home in Mar. 2018. Fab received a citation for allegedly punching his girlfriend seven times, knocking her teeth out. Shortly after the incident, a video surfaced online, showing the rapper raging out against Emily B and her father in the driveway of their home.
Fab previously spoke out about the incident, describing it as a simple, domestic dispute. He denied committing any crime.
All of the charges brought against Fab are third-degree crimes in jersey, meaning that he could face up to five years in prison.
Emily B and Fabolous have two children together. Emily has a daughter from another relationship. The couple is rumored to have tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony earlier this month. Despite reports, the two have been spotted at numerous industry outings and on social media together.
