Fantasia became the latest celebrity to receive the side eye from fans after announcing her “Hear Me Now-All Lives Matter” concert in Charlotte, N.C., but the The Definition Of… singer is standing by her show, which was originally scheduled for Sunday (Sept. 25).
With her husband Kendall Taylor by her side, Fantasia took to social media to clear the air about the deeper meaning behind her show set to debut this weekend. “God laid it on my heart to do this,” she said, revealing that her event will take the form of a worship experience.

“2,000 years ago Jesus ended the debate on which lives matter. He died for all of us,” she continued in a follow-up video. “Martin Luther King stood for love and unity for all people. United we stand, divided we fall. Let’s all stand together. So, Black Lives Matter. Yes, they do. All lives matter.”
Event act Anthony Hamilton disagreed and took to Twitter to clarify he didn’t approve the flyer. “I’m a father of six black males, so Black Lives do matter, and I approve this message.” While he made his stance clear, Hamilton did not confirm whether he will still take the stage at the upcoming concert amid Charlotte protests.
