Joey Crack can no longer be saved—the veteran MC from the BX has officially crossed over to The Darkside.
With his 10th solo LP released to the masses yesterday, Fat Joe took his hometown on a journey through a side of him that many thought was gone forever last night, proving his allegiance to the grimy sound of hardcore hip-hop in its birthplace. Mainstream numbers like the R. Kelly-featured “We Thuggin” and Murder Inc.-stamped “What’s Luv?” were absent, as Don Cartegena opted for rugged anthems like “Flow Joe,” “My Lifestyle” and his current radio roaster “Slow Down.”
Vado, Joell Ortiz, Redman, Diamond D and many devout followers were in attendance as the mayor of the Bronx killed all speculation of Fat Joe Da Gangster going soft. VIBE.com brings you the exclusive footage.
