With the start of a new season around the corner, Fetty Wap may have officially left behind 300 Entertainment to join Tekashi 69’s Tr3way Entertainment. On Sunday (Sept. 16), the 28-year old rapper was spotted hanging out with Shotti and other members of the Brooklyn label. The next day, rapper Alshawn Martin confirmed the news via his Instagram with a welcome message.
Martin posted a picture with the New Jersey-native, both of whom are wearing Tr3way necklaces, with the caption: “WELCOME MY BROTHER @fettywap1738 TO THE FAMILY #TR3YWAY LOOKED UP TO THIS MAN NOW WE DOING SONGS TOGETHER #BLESSED.” (Neither the label nor Fetty Wap have personally spoken up about the news.)
If this is true, this wouldn’t be the first time that Fetty and Tekashi have worked together. Earlier this year, they linked up with A Boogie wit da Hoodie for the track “Keke,” which racked 100 million views on YouTube to date, earning the three artists a gold plaque.
Fetty Wap has yet to release the follow-up to his eponymous debut album which earned him the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 at the time of its release, selling over 2 million copies. He did announce last year that his second album would be called King Zoo and released two singles—“There She Go” and “KissWowie”—that may or may not be part of the sophomore effort. However, he hasn’t given an official release date.
