Fetty Wap has delivered more songs to get stuck in your head, four to be exact. The Grammy-nominated rookie released his singles today (April 20) and if we’re being honest, it won’t be long until you’re singing along.
“Westside,” is the first from the crop of tracks and the only one with an assist. Featuring Uncle Snoop, “Westside” proves to be the perfect soundtrack while you drive with the top down. The second installment “Queen of the Zoo” finds young Fetty waxing poetic about a special someone he’s looking to make Mrs. Wap. Although it’s significantly slower than some of his other hits, the chorus mimics the same flow as “My Way.”
“My Environment” seems to be the most trap-like of the tracks, beginning with somewhat of a freestyle as the bass and snares break down in the background. “Environment” delves into his upbringing in Paterson, N.J. The final track, “Wake Up,” may be the most appropriate for its 4/20 release. On the track, Fetty is looking to get “Wiz Khalifa high” as soon as he wakes up in the morning.
Fetty has continued his momentum ever since his debut release in 2015. Even after a motorcycle accident and broken leg, he’s powered through to deliver consistent hits and looks like he has no interest in slowing down.
