In case you skipped the Internet this year, Fetty Wap has had a winning 2015. From becoming the first rap artist in four years to have two Top 10 songs in the Billboard Hot 100, to clenching a No. 1 slot with his debut album, it seems the crooning star has a lot to be happy about. To signify this, Fetty Wap is giving back – in his own, pandemonium-inducing way. During a visit to New Jersey’s Garden State Plaza mall on Saturday (Nov. 21), Mr. “Trap Queen” threw a couple of bands into a crowd of adoring fans.
Totaling up to a smooth $2,700 ($2,000 in singles and $700 in 20s to be exact), Fetty’s Robin Hood gesture led to throngs of screaming fans crowding around him. Witnesses of the spectacle uploaded footage to Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat, largely praising Fetty for hitting the local mall with the good deed. And when met with backlash over the public display of richness, Fetty offered a reply, noting that “You never know who needed that bread.”
Looks like somebody was at the wrong mall yesterday. Peep more footage of Fetty Wap making it rain in the clips below.
