There was no way you could get in a car, walk down the block, or party in a club or on a rooftop this summer without hearing Fetty Wap‘s “Trap Queen” and after a summer of hits, the New Jersey native is ready to release his album.
Fetty spoke with the Associated Press and said his as yet untitled project will be released to fans September 25, just days before the Grammy eligibility deadline.
“I’m just waiting for it to get mixed and mastered,” the VIBE cover subject said. “My album been done for like two months now.”
Music executive Lyor Cohen isn’t rushing Fetty’s project and is waiting for the right time to strike.
“Our industry is lacking on a wholesale level of artist development…and we feel that [Wap is] just so brilliant and has developed this new style, new sound,” Cohen said.
Okay, Cohen. You’re the boos, but the streets want this Fetty.
